How Microsoft has impacted my life ?
Microsoft, the word which originated in 1975, is now the
word which every individual who follows technology uses it at least once in a
day. Microsoft which started at a micro level turned out to be a macro corporation
at an exponential scale since the time of its inception. Microsoft products are
attached to everyone's daily chore. Let him/her be a technical person or a
non-technical, in some way or the other Microsoft is being a part of their
lives. Microsoft not only influenced me or my age group, indeed everyone. In
short Microsoft or windows is the backbone of Technology.
For me, MICROSOFT word has a great impact in my childhood
days and when I started to use computer, it showing Microsoft, windows .Whatever
I do whether Paint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or game, in all that MS was prefixed.
From my early age I was eager to know what is MS, what it meant for, what it does,
why its name is showing and all this types of questions. Later on came to know
about it as it is the largest corporation in the field of technology that
provides operating system and different application or software to the
technical persons and indirectly to the non-technical persons.
The most influencing part of Microsoft is the diversity in
its products. It made its mark in each and every field of computer technology
like in case of Internet(Skype, Bing, Silver Light), Development software (Code
view ,Basic ,C++,.net, visual studio), Gaming(Xbox ,Halo series, Age of Empires
), Digital Media(Auto Collage, Movie Maker, Expression studios) , Operation
systems (DOS, XP, 7,8,Midori,Zune) etc.
Initially I used 98 then xp .As I was a child that does
matter which os I was using and even I don’t know this things at that time. But
now after using windows 7 , I am right now using windows 8.1pro the upgraded
version of 8. And I think windows 8 a revolutionary change by Microsoft as it
has so many features over other os. Apart from this I used onedrive,skype
,onenote and other products of Microsoft. But MVA(Microsoft Virtual Academy)
helps me a lot in gaining knowledge and it provides a great way of learning all
Microsoft based technologies. Apart from this recently I learnt Networking
fundamentals course provided by Microsoft and got the MTA(Microsoft Technology
Associate) along with MCP (Microsoft Certified professional) for the same and
looking forward to learn a lot of things in MVA. In addition to this I used to
download software from Dreamspark as our college is collaborated with it.
Moreover windows Azure without any doubt It is the best cloud service in the
market in the recent times. A great initiative from Microsoft is that it gives
opportunity to the students to be a part of this big corporation as Microsoft
Student partner and Microsoft Student Associate.

Last but not the least, the person who made all this
possible Is Mr.William Henry Bill Gates. The role model in everyone’s life and
a goal that every man dreams of in his life is to become a man like Bill Gates.
His success, hard work, personality and of course money are a motivation to
everyone. And in the recent times the CEO Mr.Satya Nadella has been
an inspiration for every Indian.
How you
plan to bring a change to the society being a Microsoft Student Associate ??
- I believe that becoming an MSA comes with lot of responsibility. It requires me to be abreast of all the activities going on and all the new innovations taking place and a lot of socializing.
- As a start, I plan to form a MSA club in my university which will be a healthy group of Microsoft enthusiasts in my college. I am clear of my goal – educate people of Microsoft and its technologies.
- I will keep this community engaged and will do it in such a way that it thrives in its activities and more students are involved as we go, irrespective of their background or branch of study.
- Being an MSA, I would love to promote Microsoft and its products to every learner that I will come across to.I already have conducted few workshops on PHP and Linux in my college as a member of Campus Induction. And also was coordinator of IT society in my intermediate days .In addition to that I am working as a publicity team member in ICDCIT.
- So I will organize events, seminars, webinars in association with other MSAs and MSPs spreading our love/knowledge for Microsoft and the passion for technology.
- Apart from that I will organize a Microsoft Student Activity Session in weekly basis where I can share new updates, information of Microsoft products and the usefulness of those products. And will bring awareness about Microsoft Virtual Academy where students can get different resources.
- In addition to all of above, I will create forum, group, page in different Social Networks like Facebook, Google+ ,Linkedin etc. where I will keep the followers update about technology and its advancements and will motivate them to use MS products.
- I will try to make Microsoft Student Activity Session as a part of our IT society and will conduct different question answers session for the those who have queries,
- I will help whoever has any query regarding Microsoft technology and if not I will take help from other MSPs and MSAs. As learning never ends.
- I already certified by Sweden university for publicizing their event and i am determined to be work for Microsoft as its dream from childhood.So i will dedicate myself to complete whatever task given to me within stipulated time and good results.
